Oblate Program at Belmont Abbey, NC

December 4: Advent Morning Of Reflection

Come “prepare the way of the Lord” in your mind and heart with our very special Advent Morning of Reflection, beginning at 10:00 a.m. on December 4th in the Haid Theatre at Belmont Abbey College. Coffee will be served beginning at 9:30 a.m.

Our reflection leaders will be Dr. Ronald Thomas and Father Anselm Ramelow, O.P. Dr. Ron Thomas received his Ph.D. in Theology from Cambridge University (England) and was an Episcopal priest for 13 years before converting to the Catholic Faith. He is currently Assistant Professor of Theology at Belmont Abbey College and he is an outstanding speaker. He is the author of two profoundly inspiring booklets: Meditations on the Stations of the Cross and Prepare the Way: Daily Meditations for Advent.  Dr. Thomas recorded a CD version of his Meditations on the Stations of the Cross last year, and hundreds of people from all across America ordered the CD to help them enrich and inspire their Lent. Indeed, EWTN found Dr. Thomas’s recorded meditations to be so powerful, they played them every day during Holy Week last year on EWTN worldwide radio. Dr. Thomas will be drawing from his just-published Advent meditations for his talk.

Father Ramelow is the Chair of the Philosophy Department at the Dominican School for Philosophy and Theology, and he is in much demand as a retreat leader. We’re sure his talk will provide abundant food for thought on how to make your Advent more inspiring, and thus your Christmas a particularly blessed occasion this year. So attendees are in for quite a spiritual treat.

Admission is $10.00 to the public. Our seating capacity is limited, so please register online by November 30 by CLICKING HERE.  If you have any questions, please contact Jillian Maisano at JillianMaisano@bac.edu or 704.461.6869. Come give yourself a much-deserved early Christmas gift. One that will leave you feeling full of joy, love, peace and hope.
