Terrence Michael Fox, 75, died May 2, 2011 at home. A native of Troy, New York, he was the son of the late Roger and Lillian Cote Fox. He was an electrical engineer with American Dornier Machinery Corp in Charlotte. He was a retired Navy Veteran and a member of Queen of The Apostle’s Catholic Church. Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Margaret Elizabeth Fox; sons and daughters in law, Michael & Missy Fox and Matthew & Tracy Fox all of Mt. Holly; daughters & sons in law, Marie & Richard Turner of Belmont, Michelle Gearwar of Vermont, Maureen Fox of Rock Hill, SC, Marcia & Paul Opplinger of Colorado; 16 grandchildren: Kelly, Zackary, Meagan & Alex Gearwar of Vermont; Anna, Vincent & Matthew Turner of Belmont; Cierra, Joseph & Noah Fox of Mt. Holly; Nicholas, Aidan & Skylar Opplinger of Colorado and Lauren Fox of Mt. Holly. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Col. Alexander Fox. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 2:00 PM, Friday, May 6, 2011 at Queen of The Apostle’s Catholic Church. Burial with military honors will follow in Belmont Abbey Cemetery. A Wake Service will be held at 7:00PM, Thursday, May 5, 2011 at McLean Funeral Directors of Belmont, followed by a visitation until 9:00. The family will also receive friends one hour prior to the service on Friday at the church.
