Art and Architecture in the Early Church

Belmont Abbey College is delighted to announce that Dr. Elizabeth Lev, featured speaker at the Eucharistic Congress on Saturday at 1:45 p.m. will also be speaking at Belmont Abbey at 12:30 p.m. on Friday, September 21, in Grace Auditorium on “Art and Architecture in the Early Church”.
Dr. Lev makes her home in Rome where she is a professor of Christian art and culture, and Baroque and Renaissance art and architecture at the Rome programs of Duquesne and the University of St. Thomas. She is in demand as a lecturer on art history, serves as a consulter to the Vatican Museums, is the author of “The Tigress of Forli,” a widely-acclaimed novel set in Renaissance Italy, is the narrator of a 10 part series on sacred art in the Vatican Museums which aired on EWTN, serves as a contributor to the official Vatican newspaper L’Osservatore Romano, and somehow manages to give tours of the Vatican Museums and St. Peter’s which excite the intellect and faith.
