Psalm Commentaries to Resume

Psalm 19(18).pubDear Friends,

Many of you enjoyed the Commentaries on the Psalms by Blessed John Paul and Pope Benedict XVI posted here on the site.  While they are all available on the Vatican web site they are difficult to research and to find, which, in my thinking, is a great loss. As a help to the Oblates in learning the meaning behind the Psalms used in the Liturgy of the Hours, I had started a collection of the commentaries on this site. There was also was included a downloadable copy in pdf format for your own personal use.

Because of the demands on time, this particular project, which is near and dear to my heart, was interrupted. I am pleased to be able to announce they will begin again starting today with Psalm 57(56). They will be posted here on the site every Sunday until all the commentaries are finished. Within the next few week a index of the postings will be published and updated as commentaries are placed on the site. For those of you who liked the downloadable copy, I would suggest that you go back and get another copy. The printable form has been entirely reformatted and most, but not all, have already been updated. All of them should be reformatted before Mercy Sunday, 2013.

I wish you all the joy of a most blessed Easter.
