I was talking to friend who was complaining about the way our culture is going. She had some good points; however, our culture is what it is because in the past as well as in the present, we who call ourselves Christians are better at talking than doing. In any case we are not meant to run the lives of other people, nor are we called to rule over them. The power of the Gospel does not come from the ‘Will-To-Power’, but from the power of the Holy Spirit that lives and works in our lives if we open up our hearts and minds. We are called to be counterculture, yet in such a way that people will see the fruits of the Spirit, not the slough of anger and over the top self-righteousness.
