The new Revised Grail Psalms have been shipped from Conception Abbey and arrived late last week. The changes, approved by the Congregation for Divine Worship will soon set in motion the revision of most Psalters that Oblates rely on. There is no word yet when we will start seeing these revised volumes, but Oblates might be interested in the getting a sense of the differences. There are two versions available, a plain text and a singing version which “will assist those proclaiming or chanting this wonderful translation. Please note that there is no music is this book, but the text is marked with accents for use with various psalm tones” (from the Forward).
Copies of both The Revised Grail Psalms, a Liturgical Psalter and The Revised Grail Psalms, Singing Version can be obtained through The Printery House at Conception Abbey. Below is a comparison of the Grail and the Revised Grail for the 23rd Psalm:

Psalm 23(22) Dominus regit me | Psalm 23 (22) |
1The Lord is my shepherd; there is nothing I shall want. 2 Fresh and green are the pastures where he gives me repose. Near restful waters he leads me, 3 to revive my drooping spirit. |
1 A Psalm of David.
The LORD is my shepherd; |
He guides me along the right path; he is true to his name. 4 If I should walk in the valley of darkness no evil would I fear. You are there with your crook and your staff; with these you give me comfort. 5 You have prepared a banquet for me 6 Surely goodness and kindness shall follow me |
He guides me along the right path, for the sake of his name. 4 Though I should walk in the valley of the shadow of death, no evil would I fear, for you are with me. Your crook and your staff will give me comfort. You have prepared a table before me 6 Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me |
