Connecting the parts of our lives

Dohle-gail-tree-webI enjoy customer service…I enjoy serving others. And now I use the word to serve God…a natural fit…to serve. I had not connected the two parts of my life…the two parts are now one; writing reveals. —Gail Bardis

People who serve others because they truly desire to do so have found a great secret that many never find; that in giving freely, without compulsion, we receive much more back. It takes a loving heart to enjoy serving others. To be patient when those one serves are not. To look beyond the surface and see the dignity underneath and in that we discover ourselves and finally we discover the intimacy of Christ Jesus with all. When one develops a childlike spirit, the true face of others is revealed to them…the face of Christ. To serve others in any capacity is an act of kindness, if done out of true desire to be present to them and seek only to help.

When we write about life without censure, then we become weavers bringing in the threads of our lives and can often be surprised by not only what we know, but in how it is expressed. Each human being has a perception on life that is unique to them and if shared it can help others in ways not even dreamed of. How we use words is important and when we hear someone use language in ways that we do not, it can bring a fresher, deeper insight into life. Our experiences form us, challenge us and in speaking/writing it we find things can come together.
