Dear Belmont Abbey Community,
In past years, we have moved our Conventual Mass to the late afternoon on weekdays during the school semester. We will be making a change this year. During the summer, we reinstituted for the first time in over forty years the common celebration of Compline, the final hour of the day in the Liturgy of the Hours. Our community believes this has enhanced our community prayer and very much wishes to keep this practice. We have therefore decide to keep our current schedule, which will be the same every day of the week.
The liturgy schedule is:
6:00 a.m. Vigil Office
7:30 a.m. Lauds
11:00 a.m. Mass
11:45 a.m. Midday Prayer
5:30 p.m. Vespers
7:00 p.m. Compline
The Sunday Student Mass will be at 7:00 p.m. in the basilica.
The weekly Mass in the St. Joseph Chapel will be Tuesday at 7:30 p.m.
Confessions will be heard the following times:
10:20-10:50 a.m. Monday, Wednesday, Friday
4:50 – 5:20 p.m. Tuesday, Thursday
10:30 – 10:50 Saturday, Sunday
Please know that you are welcome to join us for the hours of the Liturgy of the Hours as well as for Mass.
